Hurricane Letter to Owners

Dear Owners,

With the upcoming hurricane season upon us, we felt that it would be a good time to remind you of the things you need to do to be prepared. First and foremost, you need to make sure all furniture is stored in your unit. As per our rules and regulations, when not occupied, all furniture must be removed from walkways, balconies or any other common area. This includes both 2 and 3 story units. If you have hurricane shutters, please make sure they are in place. Have contact information, i.e. email and phone numbers available so you can stay in touch with the association in the event of a hurricane. Make sure you have contact information for the people you may need to be in touch with in an emergency. This includes a plumber, electrician or ac company. You should have someone able to check your unit after a hurricane or weather event. This is also part of our rules and regulations. The association is not responsible for doing this as it will have its hands full addressing all issues associated with common element damage caused by the weather event.

For our part we will have maintenance personnel on call, insurance company alerted, and board members involved with the clean-up. We will be in communication with all owners as to the extent of the damage and time-frame to have repairs addressed.

If we take this simple, common-sense approach, we will limit, as best we can, the damage incurred by the storm. It is our hope, based on built relationships, we will have the resources to have all repairs done in a timely fashion to limit further damage.

Thank you for your attention to this important matter. BOD
